CBS will 'probably' be part of Apple's TV service, according to CEO<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p class="intro">The launch of Apple's still unconfirmed Internet TV service will likely include CBS, according to statements made by the network's CEO Les Moonves today.</p> <p>While Apple may have not officially said anything about its
upcoming streaming Internet TV service, that is not stopping CBS CEO Les Moonves from stating publicly that the network will "probably" be a part of it when it launches. <!--break--> According to
Re/code:</p>
<p>"We're very excited about it," he told Kara Swisher at the Code Conference Wednesday morning. Moonves said that he met with Apple media boss Eddy Cue last week to discuss Apple's plans, as part of an "ongoing conversation."</p>
<p>Moonves also confirmed that Apple's service will be similar in scope to Dish Network's recently-launched
Sling TV:</p>
<p>"Apple TV is trying to change the universe," Moonves said, by offering a smaller bundle of TV networks, delivered over the Web, than pay TV providers traditionally sell."</p>
<p>Recent rumors claim that Apple wants to offer
local TV stations as part of the service, but the amount of time it may take to confirm those deals could prevent Apple's fall 2015 launch plans.</p> <p>Source:
