What do you want to see in the next Apple TV?

[/url]

Your Apple TV wish list—what's on it?

Rumor has it Apple is just about ready to release the next generation Apple TV, the company's set-top box for the living room and really big screens. In fact, we could be seeing it as soon as September 9, alongside the next iPhones. So, we're curious to know what you want to see from Apple for your TV? If you put together your ideal feature list, what would you wish for?

The original Apple TV was designed to bring iTunes to the living room. It did that with a variant of OS X Tiger and a hard drive. The second generation Apple TV went all-in on iOS and streaming, albeit at 720p. The current version—if you can call something released alongside the iPad 3 in 2012 "current"—upped the ante to a single core Apple A5 processor and 1080p.

So, what would make that really current?

Updated Apple A-series processor

Support for Apple's Metal graphics framework

4K (2160p) video

High dynamic range (HDR) color depth

Game Store

App Store

Siri voice control

iSight camera for FaceTime calls

PrimeSense camera for gesture control

Remote control that can double as game controller

Universal search

New, brighter interface (with optional night theme!)

Apple streaming video-on-demand service

Which of these, and what else, would make it onto your wish list? And how would you like to see them implemented. Would you prefer the company keep the Apple TV as cheap and low-end as possible, or do you want to see them max it out no matter what the cost? In other words, what would it take to make the next Apple TV the set-top box of your dreams?
