Put them together and you have, well, the biggest phone launch on the East Coast. This year was no exception as what looked like over 700 people queued up to get their hands on the new
iPhone 6s and
iPhone 6s Plus.</p> <p>Apple VP of iPhone Marketing, Greg Joswiak was in attendance to enjoy the morning with the crowd. There was laughter, there were cheers, but mostly there were new iPhones, including rose gold iPhones. They were the first models purchased by the first customer to leave the building, Justina Siciunaite, who proudly showed off one of each size.</p> <p>Inside dozens of Apple Store staffers were busily getting everyone their phones and helping them get set up. Energy levels stayed high, and enthusiasm stayed strong. By mid morning there was still a crowd of a couple hundred people waiting for their turns and their appointments, and numerous media outlets covering everything that was happening.</p> <p>If you've never been to an iPhone launch day at an Apple Store, especially an iconic store like 5th Ave., it's more than just a shopping experience. It's a community experience. Serenity, Mark Guim, and I got a chance to say hello to a ton of iMore readers and that's just not something we get to do outside of WWDC anymore.</p> <p>It's not about the technology at the end of the day, it's about the people.
