Maps transit directions expand to Boston and Sydney<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p>Transit directions in
Maps are now available for two new cities: Boston, MA and Sydney, Australia. Residents of or visitors to the two cities can now fire up Apple Maps to get directions around the city using buses and trains. <!--break--></p> <p>Transit directions were one of the big new features announced for Maps in both
iOS 9 and
OS X El Capitan, but the number of cities supported has been rather limited from the outset. In the U.S., Maps launched with transit directions in Baltimore, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Washington D.C.. Other cities around the world include London, Berlin, Mexico City, Toronto, and more than 300 cities in China.</p> <p>With today's additions, that list grows by two cities just weeks after the official launch of transit directions in Maps. We're sure to see transit directions expand to more locales as time wears on, but they're off to a decent start so far.</p> <p>Source:
