Sales of Ultra High Definition TV sets will exceed 330 million units by the end of 2019, according to Parks Associates. However, while the price of those sets has fallen sharply, a report by the Natural Resources Defense Council contended that UHD models use 30 percent more energy than their HD predecessors.
