I don't think it's any great secret that I adore all things Star Wars, and on Monday, two of my passions collided: Apple Music's Zane Lowe announced the imminent arrival of a dance album called Star Wars Headspace, mixing many of Ben Burtt's famous sound effects and dialogue clips from the series with contributors like A-Trak, Flying Lotus, Baauer, Breakbot, Shlohmo, and even JJ Abrams himself. The album is being put together by none other than Def Jam records co-founder Rick Rubin, who also has a track or two on the record. You may not hear any classic John Williams music being remixed on the album, but expect to hear plenty of Star Wars sound effects, beeps, boops, Darth Vader deep breathing, and dialogue skips.
