The $25 million center will be housed in Tishman Speyer's WaveRock facility, which encompasses 0.7 million square feet. It is set to open by June, becoming fully operational by the end of the year. The facility is projected to create 4,500 jobs, and is expected to develop solutions for Apple's in-house mapping service. In a statement to ZDNet, Jayesh Ranjan, Secretary to Telangana's IT department, said: It's a very positive development as Apple has not looked at cities only in India, but across many places in Europe and other parts of the world. Their decision to have the facility in Hyderabad is a strong endorsement of the city as a major IT hub in the country.
