High Commissioner of Human Rights voices support for Apple in iPhone decryption caseThe United Nations High Commissioner of Human Rights, Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein, has voiced support for Apple in its on-going fight with the FBI regarding iPhone decryption. Hussein issued a statement that says that we risk "unlocking a Pandora's Box" that can have extremely dangerous implications going forward. From Hussein's statement: "In order to address a security-related issue related to encryption in one case, the authorities risk unlocking a Pandora's Box that could have extremely damaging implications for the human rights of many millions of people, including their physical and financial security."
