iFixit dives inside the iPhone SE with full teardownThe folks at iFixit has commenced its usual extensive teardown of Apple's latest, this time focusing on the new iPhone SE. As we've seen from ChipWorks' previous teardown, Apple's new diminutive iPhone shares a lot of its innards with prior phones like the iPhone 6, 6s and 5s, and the team at iFixit further confirms this notion. Thanks to their similarities, iFixit was also able to identify which iPhone SE parts are swappable with the older iPhone 5s in case of needed repairs: Starting with what's the same and swappable: the speaker, vibrator, SIM tray, and the entire display assembly, including the LCD, digitizer, front camera, earpiece speaker, and proximity sensor. (Disclaimer: you will have to retain your original home button if you want to keep Touch ID, just like standard 5s display replacements.)
