iOS 9 now running on 84% of active iPhones and iPadsThe use of iOS 9 continues to rise steadily. Apple's latest adoption numbers show that the current version of its mobile OS is now running on 84% of active iPhones and iPads.
The last time we checked in on Apple's iOS adoption numbers was back in January, where iOS 9 had been used by 74% of all compatible devices]. iOS 8 went down from 19% to just 11% during the same period, and the "Earlier" category also went down from 7% to just 5%.
Apple has now launched iOS 9.3, which adds support for Night Shift, along with more Siri languages and more.
