Uber begins Scheduled Rides rollout in Seattle, more cities coming soonUber has started rolling out its new Scheduled Rides feature, starting in Seattle, for its business customers. It will allow those users to schedule a pickup date from the shared ride service from 30 minutes to 30 days in advance.
Uber stated:
Since the option to schedule a ride is a top-requested feature from business travelers, we're excited to give priority access to riders who have Business Profiles or are linked to their company's Uber for Business account.
More business-heavy cities will be added to Uber's new service in the future. This new feature comes just a few weeks after rival Lyft began testing its own scheduled rides option in San Fransisco.
