Replacing a lost AirPod will cost you $69

If you want to replace a lost AirPod, be ready to fork over $69.

Apple has detailed the service pricing for its new wireless AirPods. The wireless earphones come with a one-year limited warranty that covers audio defects and free replacements for defective batteries, while standard replacements for aging batteries will cost you $49 for each AirPod, as well as for the charging case.

From Apple:


  Our warranty covers a defective battery, but it doesn't cover wear from normal use.  If the battery capacity on your AirPods or charging case decreases over time, you can replace them for a battery service fee.


You can pay an out-of-warranty fee of $69 for each AirPod or the charging case if any of these items get damaged in some way. Should you lose an AirPod or your case (without the AirPods in it), you can pay the same $69 fee.
