Super Mario Run saw 10M downloads, $4M revenue, on day one – but likely won’t beat Pokémon Go

The company reports that it notched up over 10M downloads and generated more than $4M revenue on its first day.</p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Given its visibility, it should come as no surprise that it became the <span class="s2">top ranked game by downloads</span> across 60 countries immediately after launch. Based on preliminary estimates, this includes over 10 million downloads and over $4 million in consumer spend worldwide on December 15.</span></p>

<p>The firm says that it will be particularly interesting to compare the performance of the game against <a href="https://9to5mac.com/guides/pokemon-go/" target="_blank">Pokémon Go[/url], given the two different revenue models …</p>
