Bloomberg <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-02-08/apple-s-riccio-shifts-from-hardware-chief-to-ar-vr-headsets" rel="nofollow">reports[/url] that Dan Riccio has "ultimate oversight" over Apple's upcoming virtual and augmented reality device, while Apple VP Mike Rockwell leads the proejct with over a thousand engineers on a day-to-day basis. Also, Apple SVP Johny Srouji now leads development on in-house displays and camera technology. Below is our original article announcing Riccio's change of duties, which posted on January 25, 2021.</p><p>Apple on Monday announced that Dan Riccio, senior VP of hardware engineering, will be leaving his position to focus on a “new project” and report directly to CEO Tim Cook.
