As reported by Newsweek, analytics firm Ampere Analysis estimates that subscribers to Apple's streaming service may have passed as many as 40 million by the end of 2020. This would represent a growth of more than 6 million users in the last year.
The report also notes that, according to a recent survey by Variety, as many as three-fifths of Apple TV+ subscribers are still getting the service for free.
Apple TV+ has not revealed what their current subscriber number is, but per Ampere Analysis (as cited by The Wall Street Journal) the service had 33.6 million users by the end of 2019, with Statista estimating the service had reached 40 million by the end of 2020.
