How to install Snow Leopard onto a partition

Hello,
I've been interested in installing Mac OS X onto a partition so that I can dual boot Windows and Snow Leopard. I have read how to install Snow Leopard with a blank harddrive but I want to know if it is possible to use the same technique to install the software onto a partition. The method I'm talking about is from Lifehacker. I was also wondering if it would make it easier to buy the Snow Leopard install disk.
Thanks

Yes you can. Search on Dual Boot in
www.insanelywind.com
. They have excellent tutorials on this topic.
