Steve Jobs E-mails His Thoughts on Android and WWDC

(Image courtesy of MacRumors)Apple CEO Steve Jobs has had another busy weekend, taking to his iDevices to give his cursory one-line answer to a couple of inquiries from concerned Apple fans on the subject of Google’s Android and this year’s developer conference.Silicon Alley Insider is reporting that Apple CEO Steve Jobs took time out of his weekend to alleviate fears for at least two Cupertino fans on the subject of last week’s Google I/O conference and what to expect in two weeks at Apple’s WWDC.After a recent Gizmodo piece theorizing that Google has now leapfrogged Apple with Android, an e-mail to Steve Jobs asks whether or not the CEO agrees. “Not a chance,” Jobs replies.A MacRumors reader named Bryan Webster then took to his iPhone to write Jobs: “I hope you have some good WWDC announcements to blow them out [of] the water?” It took only 15 minutes for Jobs to reply (from his iPhone, naturally), promising “You won’t be disappointed.”As Silicon Alley Insider notes: “The funny thing about these responses is that they could be canned quotes from a PR person. But because they're coming from Steve (supposedly) they seem much more exciting.”Whatever the case, Jobs’ e-mail address has been quite busy in recent weeks firing off short & sweet missives on a range of topics; the CEO has been known to reply personally in rare cases, but in recent months the practice appears to have become a lot more common.
