Karate Champ HD coming to iPad

An arcade classic is making its way to the iPad, with head-to-head play.
Revolutionary Concepts, the iPhone developer that brought the coin-op fighter Karate Champ to the iPhone, is working on a version of the game enhanced for the iPad, according to a post by Blake Patterson of TouchArcade.
Karate Champ HD will offer head-to-head play using a split screen, according to the post.
Karate Champ is a 1984 arcade game developed by Technos Japan Corp. for Data East, according to its wikipedia article.
Players use two joysticks to control a karate fighter on the screen. In the iPhone version, and in the mockup provided by Revolutionary Concepts, the joysticks are drawn on screen.
Instead of using health bars to determine a winner, a fighting round ends when a player lands a hit on an opponent, earning a half or full point. The winner is the first to score two points.
