Record iPad sales help Apple enjoy revenue, profit growth
Apple reported revenue of $35 billion and profits of $8.8 billion for its fiscal third quarter. Those numbers were up 22 percent and 20.5 percent, respectively, over year-ago figures. In the first full quarter of third-generation iPad sales, Apple sold 17 million iPads, an increase of 84 percent over last year.
