New “Wi-Fi Plus Cellular” Option In iOS 6 Automatically Switches To 3G If Wifi Connection Becomes Unreliable
The fourth beta of iOS 6, released earlier this week, added a new “Wi-Fi Plus Cellular” toggle in the Settings app along with a host of other changes.
The toggle, if enabled, changes iOS’ default behaviour of always switching to a known Wi-Fi network from 3G, irrespective of Wi-Fi connection quality.
