No FaceTime For Skype After All
Apparently Skype only has an "interest" in iPhone 4 and video chat possibilities according to Electronista. The company doesn't have immediate interest in the feature after all.A Skype spokesman said that the company merely wanted to "see how this process unfolds," but wanted to make it understood that Skype really doesn't want to do anything in the immediate future as far as using Apple's open video call standard when it comes to Skype chatting. He confirmed that earlier comments were only about getting the "best possible experience" for video calls on the iPhone app.While the company may have backed off on earlier comments, they still seem open to utilizing FaceTime as a complementary addition to what Skype has already, hoping to maybe implement video chat on the iPhone in the future.
