Apple To Face Trial Over Alleged Infringement Of Alcatel-Lucent’s Video Compression Patents
Apple, along with LG Electronics, will be facing an Alcatel-Lucent subsidiary in a San Diego federal court over alleged infringement of video compression related patents. Multimedia Patent Trust, the Alcatel-Lucent subsidiary, claims that Apple’s iOS devices and MacBooks use the video compression technique described in the patent without paying required royalties.
