Apple Patent details fingerprint sensor with NFC built into the Home button
Although Apple seems reluctant to add NFC to the iPhone, the company keeps filing patents that describe NFC-based ideas. Last year, Apple was granted a patent that described an NFC-based transportation and ticketing app ‘iTravel’ and this time the company has filed a patent for a system that combines a fingerprint sensor with NFC tech to create a compact module that can alternate between the two modes.
