Google to pay an additional $17 million for Safari cookie scandal
Google must pay $17 million to the states over the unauthorized use of cookies in Apple’s Safari web browser. Google reached this settlement with 37 states and the District of Columbia says a report in Computer World. New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman confirmed his state would receive $899,580 of the $17 million settlement.
