Updates to Mac iWork add toolbar customization

Not long ago, Apple said it would restore many of the features removed from the revamped versions of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. Apple released an x.0.1 update for the Mac and iOS versions of iWork on Thursday, and though they don’t include the return of some major features that you might be missing, they hopefully will make the apps a little easier to use.

On the Mac, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote all received updates that allow you to customize the toolbar, as well as the usual “stability improvements and bug fixes.”

As for updates specific to each app, Keynote 6.0.1 for Mac seems to have the largest number of improvements, including several new transitions (Blinds, Color Panes, Confetti, and more), and new builds (Blinds, Fly in, Fly out, and more). The Numbers 3.0.1 update now preserves window size and placement, and you can set the default Zoom in the app’s preferences. The Pages 5.0.1 update turns the center and edge guides on by default.

The iWork iOS apps got updates too, but the 2.0.1 updates for Numbers and Pages are just “stability improvements and bug fixes.” The update for Keynote includes the new transitions and builds found in the Mac update.
