<p>FORTUNE -- After three weeks of speculation, bloviation and a YouTube victory dance, Apple (AAPL) on Wednesday confirmed in a celebrity-packed press release what seemed to the world to already be a done deal: Its acquisition of Beats Electronics, the purveyor of bass-heavy headsets and mood-driven streamed music co-founded by Hip Hop artist Dr. Dre and music producer Jimmy Iovine.</p>
