acquisition of Beats, the iPhone-maker has released its first ad highlighting products from both brands. In a new 30-second spot, Apple is showing the
Beats Pill Bluetooth speaker working together with Siri.</p> <!--break--> <p>The ad is titled
Today is the day. Invitation Only, noting that "Apple and Beats have joined forces. Be sure to click on the source link below to watch the video.</p> <p>The video seems a little odd in that it sets a very neutered tone for Siri.</p> <p>The Beats Pills ask Siri for the direction to "Dre's party," to which Siri responds that the party is "by invitation only." When the Beats Pills ask for further instructions, Siri's closing line is, "Sorry, I didn't get that."</p> <p>Should Apple have ended on a more positive note for Siri's capabilities than "sorry, I didn't get that." Granted, sometimes Siri doesn't understand what you're saying, but if an ad is created to highlight a product it seems rather bizarre for Apple to confess that Siri may not understand its human users. Sorry, Apple, we really
