LG announces world's first curved 21:9 Thunderbolt monitor ahead of IFA

<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p><a href='http://www.imore.com/lg-announces-worlds-first-curved-219-thunderbolt-monitor-ahead-ifa' title="LG announces world's first curved 21:9 Thunderbolt monitor ahead of IFA"><img src='http://www.imore.com/sites/imore.com/files/styles/large/public/field/image/2014/08/lg_curved_ultrawide.jpg?itok=ub2MAdxv' /></p> <p>LG has pre-announced a fantastic looking new monitor ahead of <a href="http://www.androidcentral.com/ifa" title="IFA 2014">IFA that'll work great with a Mac. It's also what's claimed to be a world's first, adding a curved display to the 21:9 ultra wide format. The actual display is a curved 34-inch IPS panel with Quad HD 3440 x 1440 resolution and connections that include the Mac supported Thunderbolt 2.</p> <!--break--> <p>By daisy-chaining 3 of these things together you'll get a pretty prounounced curve around your workstation and sound isn't forgotten, either, with MAXX AUDIO and a 7w speaker system.</p> <p>LG hasn't yet said anything about how much it's going to cost, but we're probably not going to see it drop into the 'impulse buy' category. LG has made some really nice 21:9 monitors in the past and we're looking forward to seeing this one.</p> <p>Mobile Nations will of course be live from IFA 2014 in Berlin, Germany in just over two weeks time and we'll be sure to keep an eye out for this one.</p> <p>Source: LG</p> </div></div></div><div id="comment-wrapper-nid-26398"></div><img width='1' height='1' src='http://tipb.com.feedsportal.com/c/33998/f/616881/s/3d9be5d7/sc/28/mf.gif' border='0'/><br clear='all'/>
