SwiftKey for iPhone and iPad is one of the best of the new third-party keyboards enabled by iOS 8, but its launch hasn't been without a few bugs and general performance issues. With the iOS 8.0.2 update now here SwiftKey is pushing out its own update designed to work in tandem with Apple's own under the hood improvements.</p> <!--break--> <p>From SwiftKey:</p>
<p>We are excited to announce our first update to SwiftKey Keyboard for iPhone, iPad & iPod touch. This release fixes some critical bugs and addresses other performance issues.</p> <p>Here's a rundown of what you can expect in this update:</p> <ul><li>Improved performance</li> <li>Quicker keyboard loading time</li> <li>Improved stability</li> <li>Fixed reported issues of:</li> <li>Bottom row disappearing in the numbers and symbols panel in Twitter layout on iPad</li> <li>Crashes when backspacing onto emoji</li> <li>Crashes when typing a sequence of letters and numbers including "-"</li> <li>General stability improvements</li> </ul><p>Note: this release works best with iOS 8.0.2 (but is still compatible with iOS 8.0).</p>
<p>To get the best from the update you should be on iOS 8.0.2, and in our early testing the above fixes seem to be working and there are a few other less publicised bugs we've noticed have also disappeared.</p> <p>The latest version should now be pushing out through the App Store and you'll find it at the link below.</p> <ul><li>Free - <a href="
