Skype for Mac has hit version 7.0, which brings a refreshed design ahead of the release of
OS X Yosemite. The update also includes changes to file transfers, better conversation syncing, 64-bit support, and more.</p> <!--break--> <p>The Skypes design has been refreshed, but it retains the overall look and feel of the previous version. Icons are now flatter, and the app is more colorful. There are some more substantial changes. It is now much easier to have a video call and text chat at the same time. The there is a new file transfer experience that includes inline images. Skype also now has large emoticon support, and conversations with your Favorites can now roam, and sync with supported platforms.</p> <p>Skype 7.0 is also now a 64-bit app on Mac. Additionally, the app also now has limited support for instant messaging formatting, which Skype will expand upon over time. Skype 7.0 requires
