Hands-on with the brand new Microsoft Band

<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><div class="video_iframe"><iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/g7a-GTyEEbg?rel=0&amp;autoplay=0&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;controls=2&amp;autohide=1&amp;showinfo=0" width="627" height="353" class="video-filter video-youtube vf-g7agtyeebg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></div> <p>Last night – in a somewhat bungled outing, no less – Microsoft officially joined the wearable market with the Microsoft Band. More a fitness band with benefits than a smartwatch, the big news for us is, is iOS and Mac support. Through the Microsoft Health app for iOS and OS X – also for Android and Windows – you can pair up your Band with your iPhone or your Mac.</p> <p>We haven't seen it yet, but our buddy, Daniel Rubino, over at Windows Central sure has, and he's unboxed it and given it a thorough hands-on.</p> <!--break--> <p>So grab a beverage and check that out up top. There's going to be a lot of coverage of the Microsoft Band coming out of Windows Central in the coming days and weeks, so definitely keep an eye on that if it interests you. At some point we'll probably bully Dan into doing some more iPhone specific coverage, too. We'll certainly try.</p> </div></div></div><div id="comment-wrapper-nid-28062"></div><img width='1' height='1' src='http://tipb.com.feedsportal.com/c/33998/f/616881/s/40001ba4/sc/15/mf.gif' border='0'/><br clear='all'/>
