The company's imaging tech for smartphones has produced impressive results in the past and the EXMOR RS IMX230 sensor is billed as the next big step in mobile photography. iPhone, boasts that its new sensor is the first stacked CMOS image sensor with an image plane phase detection signal processing function for high-speed AF (autofocus). This feature will enable users to capture quick moving objects and enjoy faster focus on those that are stationary. HDR is also used with both video and still image capture.</p> <p>The company states that the new EXMOR RS IMX230 sensor will be available from April 2015.
