Tom Cruise was considered for the lead in Aaron Sorkin's
Steve Jobs biopic, a leaked email has provided a glimpse at David Fincher's excitement around potentially directing the project.</p> <!--break--> <p>While Danny Boyle was eventually chosen to direct the film, David Fincher was initially considered to helm the project. In a leaked email detailed by
The Verge, Fincher espouses his excitement upon reading the script:</p>
<p>Is great. It's a play, but a really quicksilver, cinematic one. I would think you would want to cast and rehearse very carefully (couple months) Shoot very quickly (4 or 5 weeks — 8 days per ACT??) The venues would be easy (we could probably find them all in town) Editing is where we would spend time. Can SONY market a ONE MAN SHOW(?) Can you guys make the LENNY of it all, the MUST SEE?</p>
<p>In addition, the emails revealed possible locations for the shoot, including:</p>
<p>two auditoriums, a restaurant, and a garage.</p>
<p>Though the project hasn't even begun filming, it has had a rocky road thus far as actors have been
confirmed and subsequently
dropped from the film. Along with the onslaught of casting rumors, we've also seen the film switch studios as
