Apple has sent out letters to retailers in Crimea informing them that they should end shipments and sales of its products like the
iPhone to that country, along with its services, on February 1.

This move comes a few days after Apple informed
software developers in Crimea it was ending their agreements with them. Both the United States and the European Commission have established economic sanctions against Crimea that will prevent Apple and other companies from doing business in that market.
TechCrunch received a copy of Apple's latest letter to retailers:

With reference made to Section 5G, «Export Compliance» of Apple Authorized Service Provider Agreement dated 01.04.14, please be informed that in accordance with the new sanctions on the Crimea Region announced by the US Government on December 19, 2014 you shall not sell Apple products and/or provide services related to Apple products in the Crimea Region as of February 1, 2015.
