Twitter begins testing two new features for discovering more about products and places

Twitter aims to make it easier to find more information about the products and places others are talking about, as it launches two new features to assist.

Often times on Twitter, people are talking about products they are interested in, or places they want to visit, but finding information about those topics generally requires leaving the app. Twitter is now testing two new features that would aid in the discovery of places and products, and even give you a way to buy the product. The two new features are product and place pages, and product and place collections.

Twitter describes the pages as:

The first experience we're testing is a new way to surface and organize relevant Tweets about products and places on dedicated pages. These pages will feature images and video about the product alongside information such as a description, price, and an option to buy, book, or visit the website for more information.

Collections is a bit different:

In addition to pages, we're also beginning to test new ways for people and brands to create and share Twitter collections of products and places. You'll be able to browse rich collections from influencers you care about and get more information about the products or places you find interesting.

To access these new features, you will need to have the latest version of Twitter on your device, so be sure to check for updates. In the coming months, Twitter plans to test more experiences to bring even more personalized and relevant content to each user.

Source: Twitter
