Salesforce debuts five new Apple Watch apps for the business crowd

Enterprise-focused cloud software company Salesforce has shown off a new set of
Apple Watch apps aimed at business users. In all, the company debuted five apps that were built with partners, focused on making employees a bit more productive.

As reported by
Macworld, two of the apps, BetterWorks and TaskRay, help to keep employees on the same page. BetterWorks serves up performance goals, allowing employees to quickly track a business' overall progress on things like sales goals. TaskRay, is like a to-do list for managers with progress bars and dictation. Another app, called FieldExpert, allows field technicians to check their schedule and make new appointments right from the app.

Rounding things out are Velocity Wear and ContactWorld. Vlocity Wear accesses Salesforce's cloud services to serve up customer information and allow users to perform various actions with it. ContactWorld alerts a user to incoming calls along with information about the value of the caller to the company.

Overall, it's an interesting peek into how the enterprise world is looking to adopt wearables to improve productivity. Salesforce didn't provide a price or timeline on when the apps will be available, but they do say many others are in the works.

Source:
