Eddy Cue offered some more hints on the company's plans for television in a new interview. That includes the rumors that Apple wants to launch its own streaming TV service.</p> <!--break--> <p>CBS head Les Moonves recently said his network was in talks with Apple about joining their TV service, but Apple itself has not officially confirmed those plans.
CNN Money asked Cue about Moonves' comments:</p>
<p>When I asked directly if Apple wants to get to the point that Moonves has been describing, an Apple-branded TV package, Cue said, "We want to get to the point where customers are able to buy whatever they want, however they want. We're not fixed into 'There's only one way to buy it.' Just like we've done with the App Store, where there have been things that have been free; things that you subscribe to; things that you pay for; things that are in-app. All of those capabilities will be here and we want that market to be able to develop."</p>
<p>There are also rumors that Apple wants to fund and host exclusive shows for the service, similar to Netflix's original shows. Again,
CNN Money grilled Cue on that topic:</p>
<p>Cue responded this way: "I think there's a tremendous amount of great content out there today, and we want to make it easier for customers to have access to it."</p>
