iPhone OS 4.0 Jailbroken Within Hours Of Release
Well, that was fast. In a toss-up between jailbreaking wunderkin Dev Team being exactly that good, or Apple leaving the doors wide open in order to set up an ambush for would-be jailbreakers. It appears that within hours of its release, the iPhone OS 4.0 beta release has been ripped open like a bag of potato chips. Proof of the achievement was discovered on YouTube by MacStories.How'd they nail it so quickly? Mark Wilson over at Gizmodo speculates that the hack may have been made possible via a shared exploit discovered in the as-of-yet unreleased 3.1.3 jailbreak.
